Walking Circles|Series 1

ink Work Andi Walker · Photography Jac Callaghan

Walking Circles breaks away from the grid. Made up of multiple fragments, this series is free form, and intuitive circles emerge in parts, often incomplete, drifting across the surface like traces of movement.

Unlike the structured repetition of earlier works, these marks feel looser, more bodily as if they’ve been walked or wandered into being. There’s no fixed centre, no perfect loop. Just a sense of rhythm, momentum, and return.

Each fragment carries the memory of a gesture: turning, hesitating, beginning again. Walking Circles is a practice of freedom through fragmentation an exploration of what remains when structure is set aside.
