Overlapping Circles|Series 4
ink Work Andi Walker · Photography Jac Callaghan
Building on the grid-based logic of Going Round in Circles, this series introduces layering, disruption, and complexity. While the marks still sit within a linear framework, their repetition begins to shift, circles overlap, bleed, and obscure one another. Over time, they form dense vertical stacks that begin to feel almost totemic.
The simplicity of the gesture, a single, repeated mark becomes loaded through accumulation. The grid holds the structure, but the ink resists containment. Overlapping Circles explores what emerges when control gives way to density: forms that suggest ritual, embodiment, and the weight of time.
